Just a few of our successful programmes:
Fund raising. A ‘blank paper’ challenge partnered an IT management team with the local mountain rescue team to organise and run a sponsored abseil that raised several thousand pounds in support of mountain rescue.
Team building. Management of a housing trust completed a series of one-day training workshops following which the team sourced their own challenge in the community. It involved providing an outdoor chess set for a YMCA facility and transforming the garden of a day care centre for the elderly. Thanks to inspired specialist recruitment and public fund-raising, the garden was completely redesigned and landscaped, all on a budget of just £10!
Forging relationships. A global oil business split its group of delegates into two teams, each undertaking a different 2-day challenge related to the community into which the company was about to move. Following consultation with the users, Team A decorated and refurbished a youth centre with a working budget of a mere £10. Team B was tasked to discover why the benefits advice service was being under-utilised in a particularly difficult estate. Having developed a survey and analysed its results, the core problem was lack of information. The team designed, printed and door-dropped a brochure, then presented their findings to the social work team, along with further ideas for action.
